Log Homes have a number of issues with maintenance and long term aesthetics. Every Log Home we do with the Turtle Coat System includes: washing and cleaning to remove dirt, mold and mildew, sanding the old finish (where needed ), caulking all joints (We use 200-300 tubes of commercial grade Elastomeric Sealant on most Log Homes), and replacing any rotted or damaged wood. We then mask off all areas that are not being stained before applying a coat of our protectant stain and sealer. A thorough inspection and touch up is done before the final clean up and haul away.
